  • What are your operating hours?
    We are open Monday through Friday from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM. On Saturdays, we serve the community from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM. We also offer limited hours on Sundays and Public Holidays (09:00 AM to 01:00 PM) to ensure you are never without essential care.
  • Where exactly is New Platinum Pharmacy located?
    You can find us at Stand 8785 Huruyadzo, St Marys, Chitungwiza. We are centrally located in the Huruyadzo shopping area, making us easily accessible for residents of St Marys and surrounding sectors of Chitungwiza.
  • Do you offer blood pressure and sugar testing?
    Yes! We provide quick and professional health screenings. You can walk in anytime for a blood pressure check or a blood glucose (sugar) test. Our pharmacists will explain your results and advise if further medical consultation is needed.
  • Can I send my prescription via WhatsApp?
    Absolutely. To save you time, you can take a clear photo of your prescription and WhatsApp it to 0777140859. We will check our stock and give you a price quote. Please note: You must bring the original physical prescription with you to collect your medication as per pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Is my health information kept private?
    Your privacy is our priority. All consultations and prescription records are handled with strict confidentiality. We do not share your medical history with third parties without your explicit consent.
  • How long does it take to fill a prescription?
    Most prescriptions are filled within 10–15 minutes. If your medication requires special compounding or is currently out of stock, we will notify you immediately and aim to source it within 24 hours.
  • What should I do if I miss a dose of my chronic medication?
    As a general rule, if you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Never double your dose to catch up. If you are unsure, call us immediately for specific guidance based on your medication type.
  • Which medical aids do you accept?
    We accept most major Zimbabwean medical aid societies. Please ensure you bring your valid medical aid card and a national ID. Our staff will process the claim electronically to let you know if there is any co-payment required.
  • Do you accept USD and ZiG payments?
    Yes, we accept multi-currency payments including USD (cash), ZiG (swipe or mobile transfer), and EcoCash. We strive to provide flexible payment options to remain accessible to everyone in the community.
  • Can I return medication if I no longer need it?
    For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on medications once they have left the pharmacy. However, if you have expired medications at home, you can bring them to us for safe, professional disposal.
